As so many of us are working remotely, meetings might be the only chance we have to really “connect” with our coworkers. But the truth is, running productive virtual meetings that leave people feeling clear, comfortable, and understood can be a challenge. This week, we’re revisiting an old post on making the most of meetings in your organization through understanding everyone’s work styles by looking through the lens of remote workers.
As you may know, DISC is a decades-old theory, which means there are other DISC providers out there. That means, depending on the model, DISC may not look quite the same from one entity to the next. So, how do we stand out from the crowd? At Everything DiSC®, we’ve dedicated ourselves to making our DiSC® assessment and learning experience as intuitive and user-friendly as possible. This of course includes the visual representation of each individual’s assessment results within our proprietary DiSC map.
Now that you’ve got the basics and theory of DiSC® down pat (see our last post as a refresher!), we’re going to dig into something crucial to Everything DiSC®: our research. We realize that a lot of people might hear “Everything DiSC” and have no idea what it even is or does (conversely, if they do know of DiSC, they might not understand the history and validity behind it). With this in mind, let’s talk about Everything DiSC theory—explained in a way that is clear, thoughtful, and concise. Who said the basics had to be boring?
Conflict is an uncomfortable, yet unavoidable part of every workplace. That’s not the first time you’ve heard this sentiment from us, and it won’t be the last. Because on the one hand, conflict has the potential to cripple organizational culture. But on the other hand, it can also fuel productivity, problem solving, and innovation.
